Lawrence Eagleburger, Deputy Secretary, State Department, spoke at The George Washington University, Elliot School of International Affairs. Mr. Eagleburger discussed the current situation of the U.S. in the world and the debate over what direction the U.S. should take in foreign policy for the 1990s. Mr. Eagleburger stated the top foreign policy problem facing the U.S. today is educating Americans for their entrance into the highly competitive global markets, including learning the language and know-how of other cultures and countries. close
