The debate in the Irish Senate dealt with the resignation of the leader of the Senate, Sean Doherty. Mr. Doherty has made allegations that Prime Minister Haughey was involved in illegal wiretaps 10 years ago. Prime Minister Haughey has been associated with several economic scandals during his administration, which have led to a number of no confidence motions in the parliament. close
