Members questioned Secretary Sullivan about the administration’s health care proposal introduced by President Bush in his State of the Union address. The president’s four-point reform plan would seek administrative reform, cut waste and access in the present system, and contain government-controlled health programs. Secretary Sullivan also reacted to Democrats' “play or pay” or Health America proposal, and other state-administered programs. Following Secretary Sullivan’s testimony, a panel of health care professionals analyzed the two health care proposals. close
