Dennis Prager, the host of the radio program “Religion On the Line,” on KABC Radio in Los Angeles, addressed an audience at the Heritage Foundation on the results of the Great Society social welfare programs of the 1960's. In his speech entitled, “The Grim Harvest of the Great Society’s War on Responsibility,” Mr. Prager alluded to the recent urban violence in Los Angeles and other cities around the country to assail the liberal foundations for the programs of the Great Society, which he said attempted to eliminate the concept of personal responsibility among its participants. This program ended at the start of the question period. close
