KABC Radio and the Advertising Club of Los Angeles sponsored a radio broadcast forum on the proposals for rebuilding Los Angeles after urban riots occurred there in late April and early May of 1992, after four white police officers were acquitted of beating a black suspect. Los Angeles community leaders from the areas of politics, entertainment, law enforcement and religion participated in the forum entitled, “Rebuilding the City of the Angels,” which also focused on how residents could help build closer relationships between community members in Los Angeles. Panelists responded to questions from the audience following their prepared remarks. close
