Republican presidential candidate Patrick Buchanan spoke before a vocal crowd of supporters in Manchester, New Hampshire, on the evening following the final round of 1992 presidential primaries in eight states. Mr. Buchanan, who came in a strong second in the New Hampshire primary, thanked some of his supporters during the past six months, and lauded his bodyguards for body-slamming AIDS activists during the early days of his campaign. He claimed victory in bringing the Republican party farther to the right, and vowed to stay in the race until the convention. close
