Ms. Fulani addressed the convention of the National Newspapers Publishers Association, an organization of heads of minority-owned newspapers. Dr. Fulani spoke on the 1992 presidential race, and noted two key rebellions in 1992 politics: the nationwide rebellion against the two party system, and the rebellion of residents of the inner cities that occurred in April in Los Angeles and other cities around the country. She also discussed the rise of billionaire Ross Perot in the nation’s political consciousness. Following her prepared remarks, Dr. Fulani responded to questions from members of the audience. close
