Former Senator Paul Tsongas, who pulled out of the race for the 1992 Democratic presidential nomination after several months in the running, delivered the keynote address at the convention of the Association of Private Pensions and Welfare Plans. In his address, Sen. Tsongas discussed his bid for the presidency, the strategies used by the Bush administration and the Democratic party in their campaigns for the presidency, and the economic problems facing the nation in the near future.
