A number of political consultants and polling analysts participated in a panel discussion on the 1992 presidential race during the campaign training seminar in Washington, DC, sponsored by Campaigns and Elections magazine. The political analysts discussed how the campaigns to the presidency have shaped up to this point and speculated on the results of the upcoming political conventions and the presidential bid by independent candidate Ross Perot. The discussion took a partisan nature as the consultants from the Republican and Democratic parties and the campaign of Ross Perot discussed the conventional wisdom of the current campaigns and the unconventional aspects of the 1992 presidential race. The panelists responded to questions from the audience following their opening remarks. close
