Former California Gov. Jerry Brown addressed the 1992 Democratic

National Convention on the third night of the proceedings. In a

speech long awaited by his boisterous delegates on the floor of the

convention, Gov. Brown called for the government to be returned to

the people in order to redress the issues affecting the majority of

Americans. Gov. Brown only mentioned the leading Democratic

presidential candidate Gov. Bill Clinton twice in his remarks.

Gov. Brown’s name was put into nomination by his campaign manager

Jody Evans, and seconded by a 15-year-old high school student. close
