Democratic National Committee Secretary Kathy Vick called the roll call of the state delegations for the Democratic presidential nominee in the 1992 Democratic National Convention. Pandemonium ensued on the floor of the convention after Gov. Clinton received sufficient delegate votes to become the party’s nominee. The roll call vote paused after the Ohio delegation announced its votes which put Gov. Bill Clinton over the top for the nomination. Following Ohio’s vote, cameras captured Gov. Bill Clinton, his wife Hillary and their daughter Chelsea as they walked from Macy’s Department Store in New York to Madison Square Garden. close
