The joint subcommittee heard testimony concerning the state of the Chinese economy. The two representatives from the CIA submitted a report on the Chinese economy. The report showed that exports in China have increased in the last year sparking domestic growth. The leaders of China are pushing economic reform without political reform. These reforms have included opening stock sales to the international market and opening a futures market. close
