Cokie Roberts talked about her book Ladies of Liberty: The Women Who Shaped Our Nation, published by William Morrow. In her book Ms. Roberts tells the story of some of early America’s notable women and their achievements. She used personal correspondence, private journals, and previously unpublished writings to recount the history of first ladies such as Abigail Adams and Dolley Madison and other women such as Sacajawea and Theodosia Burr, Aaron Burr’s daughter. She also responded to questions from members of the audience.
