Kimberly Dozier talked about her book, Breathing Fire: Fighting to Report -- and Survive -- the War in Iraq (Meredith Books; May 13, 2008). Ms. Doizer was the only survivor of a car bombing in Iraq, and her book is about her recovery from injuries, as well the people who helped her and others injured in Iraq recover. In her remarks she talked about how she was injured and her recovery and read an excerpt from the book. Ms. Dozier responded to audience members' questions.

Kimberly Dozier reported from Iraq for CBS News from 2003 to 2006. Ms. Dozier was formerly the European correspondent for CBS Radio News and anchor for BBC Radio World Service’s “World Update.” She is the recipient of the 2008 Peabody Award. close
