Joshua Wolf Shenk talked about his book Lincoln’s Melancholy: How Depression Challenged a President and Fueled His Greatness. Then James L. Swanson talked about his book, Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln’s Killer, and about popular myths surrounding the assassination. After their presentations the authors responded to questions from Richard Norton Smith and members of the audience.
