Bob Shrum and David Frum talked about the issues and implications of the 2008 U.S. presidential election. They responded to questions from members of the audience. Among the topics they addressed were the history of presidential campaigns the ideological context of the 2008 race, key issues facing the next administration, and issues of concern to the electorate. Professor Berlinerblau moderated.
Bob Shrum, a Democratic strategist who has advised numerous political campaigns including the 2000 and 2004 presidential campaigns, is the author of No Excuses: Concessions of a Serial Campaigner (Simon and Schuster; June 2007. David Frum, a speech writer and special assistant to President George W. Bush from 2001-2002, has authored five books, including The Right Man: The Surprise Presidency of George W. Bush. Jacques Berlinerblau is the author of Thumpin' It: The Use and Abuse of the Bible in Today’s Presidential Politics (Westminster John Knox Press; December 3, 2007). close
