Steve Sharkey talked about the desire by wireless companies such as Motorola to gain access to certain areas of the broadcast spectrum known as “white spaces,” which would allow for broadband speeds on wireless devices. The Federal Communications Commission is scheduled to vote on a proposal for “white spaces” on November 4, 2008.
