Jane Mayer is the author of The Dark Side: The Inside Story of How the War on Terror Turned into a War on American Ideals, published by Doubleday. Chris Hedges and his co-author Laila Al-Arian talked about their book Collateral Damage: America’s War Against Iraqi Civilians, published by Nation Books. Jonathan Mahler talked about his book The Challenge: Hamdan v. Rumsfeld and the Fight Over Presidential Power, published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux.
