Mark Olfson, participating by remote access from New York City, talked about a study on the mental health of college-aged students, which found that almost half of those individuals had a psychiatric disorder in the past year. The study also found that the overall rate of disorders did not change for those not attending college. Dr. Olfson discussed the impact of mental health treatment on the national health care debate, and he responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. close
