Representative Barney Frank, chairman of the House Committee on Financial Services, gave the luncheon address at the National Housing Forum. In his remarks he said the federal government should provide aid to homeowners facing foreclosure, supported calls for increased regulation of the mortgage industry, and spoke about possible consequences of inaction by the government. He also answered questions from the audience.
