Former Governor Howard Dean, a physician, made opening remarks about health care reform to eliminate disparities in health care administration. He was followed by several academics and policy experts who spoke on the topic, “Health Disparities and the Intersection of Science and Practice.”

This was part of the first National Institutes of Health Research Summit on “The Science of Eliminating Health Disparities.” It was held over three days at Gaylord National Resort and Conference Center at National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland. close
