Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich spoke to reporters about his impeachment by the Illinois House of Representatives. He criticized the vote and responded to several of the counts brought forward in the articles of impeachment. He also highlighted several programs he had launched or endorsed to help citizens of Illinois and was joined on the dais by several of the beneficiaries of the initiatives. He concluded the news conferences with an excerpt from a poem by Alfred Tennyson and did not take questions from the reporters. close
