President-Elect Obama spoke on the final leg of a whistle-stop inaugural train journey to Washington, D.C. In his remarks at a rally at War Memorial Plaza in Baltimore, Maryland, he spoke about the vision of the American founders, the bravery of American forces at Fort McHenry in the War of 1812, and called on citizens to join in an effort to perfect the Union. He also acknowledged several people he had met in his campaign who struggled under tough econimic times, urging “patience even as we act with fierce urgency.” close
