The 2009 EMILY’s List Inaugural Luncheon was held the weekend before the presidential inauguration to celebrate new women senators, governors, and Cabinet secretaries. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Secretary of State nominee Hillary Clinton, and Homeland Security Secretary nominee Janet Napolitano were among the speakers. Speech topics included advancing the rights of women in the U.S. and globally, and the 2010 elections. close
