Pat Oliphant talked about editorial cartoons with George Gilliam. Throughout the interview Mr. Oliphant commented on his cartoons and made drawings of Sarah Palin; Golda Meir; Presidents Johnson, Nixon, Ford, and Obama; and others.

The Pulitzer Prize-winner Pat Oliphant is the most widely syndicated political cartoonist in the world, through Universal Press Syndicate since 1981. A cartoonist in Australia since the 1950s, he began working as a political cartoonist at the Denver Post in 1964, where his work became nationally and internationally syndicated in 1965. close
