David Sanger talked about his book The Inheritance: The World Obama Confronts and the Challenges to American Power (Harmony; January 13, 2009). In his book he takes a look at the world that President Obama would be confronting as he took over from President Bush. A main topic was the opportunities that were lost as the administration concentrated on Iraq. The guest interviewer was Bob Deans, national correspondent for Cox Newspapers.
David Sanger, who has been with the New York Times for twenty-six years, has shared two Pulitzer Prizes for his reporting on the 1986 space shuttle Challenger explosion and President Clinton’s trade policy towards China. close
