Participating by remote access from New York City, John Podheretz offered a conservative perspective on the Obama presidency, the new Cabinet and Administration policies, and the Executive Orders signed by President Obama so far. He discussed how Republicans in Congress and political conservatives should deal with the Obama Administration. He is the fourth Editor in Commentary's six-decade history, assuming the position in January 2009.

He responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. Mr. Sirota also answered questions from Jones High School students (Orlando, Florida), participating via Skype from the C-SPAN School Bus, who went to the Obama Inauguration as a result of winning an essay contest. close
