Christopher Dickey is Paris Bureau Chief and Middle East Editor for Newsweek. He’s the former Cairo Bureau Chief and former Central America Bureau Chief for the Washington Post. Dickey is also the “Shadowland” columnist in Newsweek online and author of With the Contras, Expats: Travels from Tripoli to Tehran, and Summer of Deliverance about his father, the late poet and novelist James Dickey. Christopher Dickey talked about his book Securing the City: Inside America’s Best Counterterror Force - The NYPD. In the book, the author takes a inside look at New York’s counterterrorism effort to prevent another attack on the city - and to be able to go anywhere to counter an impending attack. He responded to audience members' questions.
