Bob Sloan talked about a Mountaintop Removal Tour in which he participated and the resulting book to which he contributed, Missing Mountains: We Eent to the Mountaintop but It Wasn’t There (Wind Publications; October 20, 2005). He talked about the problems associated with removing the tops of mountains in order to mine coal.

Bob Sloan is the author of Bearskin to Holly Fork: Stories from Appalachia, published by Wind Publications. The book focuses on the history and culture of Appalachia.
