Defending Terrorists
Zacarias Moussaoui is the only person charged in an American court with having a role in the September 11. 2001, terrorist attacks. In 2005 he plead guilty and was sentenced to life in prison. The validity of his guilty plea was under appeal.
Walid Muhammad Salih bin 'Attash is currently being held at the Guantanamo Bay detention center. He had been charged with bombing the USS Cole and helping to train several of the terrorists involved in the September 11, 2001, attacks.
