Senator Judd Gregg talked about his decision to withdraw from consideration as secretary of the Department of Commerce. In his remarks he said the decision was based won irreconcilable policy differences and his desire to speak freely on economic policy issues. He also said that he was not asked to step down by the Obama administration, but took personal responsibility for accepting the offer without enough hard consideration. close
