Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke talked about reforming the U.S. bank regulatory system in light of the global financial crisis. He said more regulation may be needed for money-market mutual funds, and that lawmakers and regulators should consider added restrictions on assets that money funds can own and a new “limited system of insurance” to protect investors.
