Representative Lynn Woolsey talked about upcoming House debate on the supplemental appropriations for Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and pandemic flu. She plans to vote against the bill. She objects to what she thinks is a focus on military funding for Afghanistan instead of economic development and regional reconstruction efforts. She also opposes the president’s plan for Iraq, which will leave 50,000 troops there for more than two years. Representative Woolsey responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. close
