Supreme Court nominee Judge Sonia Sotomayor spent most of the week on Capitol Hill visiting with U.S. senators. Video journalists followed her as she visited with the Senate leadership and Judiciary Committee members in preparation for the confirmation hearings.
On Tuesday, June 2, 2009:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) spoke after meeting with Judge Sotomayor.
Later there was a photo opportunity when she met with Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-VT), who later gave a press conference.
Later Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jeff Sessions (R-AL) spoke to the press after his meeting with her.
A video clip was shown of Judge Sotomayor having lunch with Senators Schumer and Gillibrand in Senator Schumer’s office. The senators later spoke to the press.
Then Judge Sotomayor was shown meeting with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).
The judge was seen meeting with Judiciary Committ
