Author and historian John Ferling talked about his life and career. He was interviewed in the Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center at Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate. Scenes of the museum wee shown. Topics included the biography of George Washington, colonial America and the Revolutionary War, Presidents Adams and Jefferson, the election of 1800, and the peaceful transfer of power. Mr. Ferling responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.

John Ferling is professor emeritus at the University of West Georgia where he taught for thirty-three years.
