Peter Schiff talked about the crisis in the U.S. economy. He focused on spending that he argued was the real cause of the economic problems and that the stimulus programs could not solve it. He also talked about his exploratory committee for a campaign for the U.S. Senate seat from Connecticut currently held by Senator Chris Dodd. He announced a fundraiser in his hotel room after his presentation.
Peter Schiff is the author of Crash-Proof: How to Profit From the Coming Economic Collapse, and the second edition, Crash Proof 2.0: How to Profit From the Economic Collapse, both published by Wiley, as well as The Little Book of Bull Moves in Bear Markets: How to Keep Your Portfolio Up When the Market Is Down (Wiley; October 6, 2008).
