Ben Mezrich talked about his book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook -- A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal (Doubleday; July 14, 2009). In the book he recounts the creation of the social networking site, Facebook, by Eduardo Saverin and Mark Zuckerberg. Mr. Mezrich details the ascendancy of the website from a members-only service for Harvard University students to its current international status. The author profiles several of the principal players in the development of the site, including Facebook’s current chief executive officer, Mark Zuckerberg. Mr. Mezrich talked about how he wrote the book. The guest interviewer was A.J. Jacobs. The interview took place at BookExpo America 2009 in the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City, apparently on Saturday, May 30, 2009.
Ben Mezrich, a Harvard graduate, has published ten books, including Bringing Down the House. He is a columnist for Boston Common and a contributor for Flush magazine.
