Committee members spoke about the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court and their opposition or support for her confirmation. Following their statements committee members voted 13 to 6 to recommend confirmation by the Senate. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham was the only minority member to vote in favor of confirmation. close
