Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman John Kerry talked about the challenges of the upcoming U.N. Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. In his remarks he called for closer collaboration between the U.S. and China in efforts to reduce carbon emissions. He emphasized that the U.S. needs to understand how China sees the issue of reducing carbon emissions and that China must also make a legal commitment before the U.S. will sign a global treaty.
