The Advanced Medical Technology Association held a news conference to release a study on the negative impact to the U.S. gross domestic product of some of the leading chronic and acute health conditions. The report found that better preventative care, early diagnosis and innovation have the potential to stop a $1.4 trillion annual drain on the U.S. economy.
