Michael Green talked about the national elections in Japan. The winner, Yukio Hatoyama, and his Democratic Party of Japan, won a decisive victory over the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and its leader, Taro Aso. This is only the second time the LDP has been voted out of power in 54 years. Dr. Green also discussed the new leadership’s policies regarding relations with the U.S., and he responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
