Aaron Sheehan-Dean talked about his book Concise Historical Atlas of the U.S. Civil War (Oxford University Press, USA; December 2, 2008). The book contains maps of military campaigns and battles but also illustrates political and social developments during Reconstruction as well as during the U.S. Civil War. It offers a spacial as well as temporal history of the war. Essays accompanying each map offer a concise history of the era.
