A military historian, she has taught at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Yale University, Georgetown University, and American University and is the author of The Eye of Command (University of Michigan Press, 2006). Ms. Kagan has conducted assessments for the military in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Pete Hegseth, currently chairman and executive director of Vets for Freedom, is a veteran of the war in Iraq 2005-2006 and returned to Iraq in February and August 2008 to the report on the situation there.
