Ms. Kagan has conducted assessments for the military in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Pete Hegseth, currently chairman and executive director of Vets for Freedom, is a veteran of the war in Iraq 2005-2006 and returned to Iraq in February and August 2008 to the report on the situation there.
