Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Chairman Barbara Boxer talked about the climate-change bill introduced Wednesday, September 30, 2009; an administration plan for new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules requiring large power plants to limit emissions as early as 2011; and the subject of global warming overall. Senator Boxer’s bill calls for cuts in greenhouse gas emissions to be 20 percent lower in 2020 than they were in 2005 and 83 percent lower by 2050. Senator Boxer is co-sponsoring the bill with Senator John Kerry. After she left, the reporters discussed her responses with the host. close
