The New York Times reported that the United States has no reliable system for verifying that foreign visitors in the U.S. leave when their visas expire. Last year, 2.9 million foreign visitors on temporary visas checked into the U.S. but never officially checked out. Marc Rosenblum talked about the entry tracking system that has been instituted and what more needs to be done when it comes to keeping track of foreign visitors on expired visas. He responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
