German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke to a joint meeting of Congress. In her remarks she spoke about the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, Germany since reunification, and he own experiences during and after the Cold War. She also focused on several other topics such as Iranian nuclear development, operations in Afghanistan, the Middle East peace process, and international efforts to address climate change and combat global warming. This was the first address by a German chancellor in over 50 years. close
