Peter Schweizer talked about his book Architects of Ruin: How Big Government Liberals Wrecked the Global Economy -- and How They Will Do It Again if No One Stops Them (Harper; October 6, 2009). In the book he argues that liberal policies that forced banks to provide credit to minorities and the poor ended up laying the groundwork for the current economic crisis rather than free-market capitalism and deregulation as liberals claim. The guest interviewer was Representative Michele Bachmann.
Peter Schweizer is the author of numerous books, including Reagan’s War; The Bushes; Makers and Takers; and Do as I Say (Not as I Do): Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy. He is a research fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University.
Represenative Michele Bachmann (R-MN), in her second term, is a member of the House Financial Services Committee. close
