Former Senator Bob Graham talked about his book, America The Owner’s Manual: Making Government Work for You (CQ Press; March 23, 2009). He presented it as a how-to book for the American public on making government responsive to the people. He responded to questions from members of the audience.

Bob Graham was a two-term Florida governor before being elected to the U.S. Senate in 1986 for the first of three consecutive terms. He served as chair of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. In 2002, he co-chaired the House-Senate Joint Inquiry into the intelligence community’s failures prior to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. After retiring from public office in early 2005, he spent a year at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government as a senior fellow and is now chairing the Board of Oversight of the University of Florida’s Bob Graham Center for Public Service.
