President Obama spoke about the economy on the one-year anniversary of the signing of the economic stimulus bill. In his remarks he said passing the legislation was not an easy political choice “but failure to do so would have led to catastrophe.” He said the stimulus should save 1.5 million more jobs in 2010 but acknowledged that to those who are still out of work, “It doesn’t yet feel like much of a recovery.” close
