Secretary Hillary Clinton testified before the committee about the fiscal year 2011 State Department budget. She said the budget represented a $4.9 billion increase over 2010, of which $3.6 billion would go to diplomatic and development efforts in “frontline states” like Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq. She also addressed possible sanctions against Iran, operations in Afghanistan, the Middle East peace process, and relations with Russia. close
